This policy explains which personal data we collect when you use this website, why we collect it and what rights you have, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data we process

Enquiry data: when you request a quote, samples or the catalogue, or send us a message, we process the details you enter, such as your name, job title, company, country, business email, phone number, delivery address for samples, project details and your message.

Usage data: when you visit the website, our hosting provider processes technical data that is necessary to deliver the pages, such as your IP address, browser type, date and time of access and the pages requested.

Analytics data: only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we record visits to understand how the website is used, using a randomly generated session identifier. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Purposes and legal bases

We use enquiry data to answer your request, send samples or the catalogue and prepare a proposal. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract) and, for follow-up communication about your enquiry, our legitimate interest in developing business relationships (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We process usage data to operate the website securely and reliably, based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Analytics data is processed only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

Recipients

Your data is accessible only to the Textimas team members who handle your enquiry. We use service providers for website hosting, form delivery and email, who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising purposes.

International transfers

Textimas is based in Mexico. When you contact us from the European Economic Area, your enquiry data is transferred to and processed in Mexico, which the European Commission has not recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection. The transfer is necessary to respond to your request and to take steps prior to a contract at your request (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR). Where our service providers process data outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses are used.

How long we keep data

Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting business relationship. If no business relationship follows, we delete it when it is no longer needed for that purpose, unless statutory retention obligations require us to keep it longer. Technical usage data is kept only for as long as needed to operate and secure the website.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live or work.
